Three proposed community services for Enfield
Community colorectal service
This service would provide a collaborative approach to clinical assessment at a more specialised level than is currently available in primary care.
It would be pivotal to the achievement of reduced waiting times by offering more community based services to patients, therefore reducing demand for secondary care and releasing that capacity for those patients with more complex and urgent needs.
The service will also benefit patients by delivering a more efficient and effective care pathway and, where onward referral to secondary care is deemed necessary, the service will prepare patients to a higher level than was previously the case.

- Colerectal service

Community Gynaecology Service
This service will provide a local, more accessible and cost effective service that is patient, public and primary care-led.
It would diagnose, treat and manage patients with gynaecological conditions, improve access to care and ensure patients are seen and treated in an environment most appropriate to their needs.
It would develop an integrated gynaecology pathway across primary and secondary care, working in partnership with GPs, nurses, consultant gynaecologists and other clinicians.
